Entrepreneurs Continue Learning and Developing in 8 Simple Ways

Entrepreneurs need  mentoring, and developing too.

 

All the top performing leaders, entrepreneurs and business owners utilize this rule: Keep learning, never ever stop. Looking for ways to keep learning as a leader and entrepreneur? Take these eight tips on a spin:

  1. Make time to read self-development books for entrepreneurs. Can’t find the time? Read book summaries. One of our mentors and business advisors often says “Leaders are Readers”.  Make it a part of your daily or weekly routine.
  2. Do something new in your field of business. Sometimes adding something new is all it takes to go to the next level and peak more interest, remember to add it to your marketing plan the next time you have marketing plan review.
  3. Enroll in an online degree course or attend night classes
  4. Join a local or online book club.
  5. Utilize online learning platforms like SkillShare, Udemy, etc. Learn skills, such as digital marketing.
  6. As an entrepreneur, there are millions of things to do, understood! One way to still learn and develop is by taking advantage of every possible resource; one of those resource could include audiobooks. Audiobooks are your friend. You can passively learn from them. This will allow you to do multiple things at a time.
  7. Attend entrepreneur, trade and leadership conferences. Sometimes it can be challenging to step out of the office to attend events, however, remember they can be instrumental to your success for many reasons including learning and developing, networking, obtain new and upcoming information, the possibilities are unlimited.  Do not neglect the power of webinars, especially during this time of COVID-19.  Attend as many as you can that will help you operate as a more productive entrepreneur and leader, not looking to just be busy but productive.
  8. Find a business mentor and listen to trusted advisors. Whether you locate a local coach, follow someone from afar or use your local score office.  Every person that desires to succeed needs a mentor.

Ultimately, your progress will be determined not by the quantity of your learning but by the QUALITY.
